About the JIRA Administrator Role at Heptarc Talent Acquisition
As a JIRA Administrator, you will join the Quality Practices & Tooling team within the COO Office in R&D, a group that values both hard work and enjoyment. The COO Office focuses on empowering the R&D organization to efficiently create, maintain, and roll out high-quality, world-class products by ensuring structured planning, execution, aligned ways of working, program management, and clear communication.
You will play a crucial role in driving the delivery, execution, and continuous improvement of how we utilize JIRA and other Atlassian products. Your main objective will be to ensure world-class quality for IFS product releases. In line with our R&D tooling strategy and DevSecOps transformation, you will collaborate with numerous stakeholders across R&D, managing effective communication, reporting, change management, and facilitating team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
- Understand current processes, identify gaps, and gather requirements to develop and deliver tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams to gather requirements, developing and delivering unified processes, toolsets, and reporting capabilities.
- Develop and maintain workflows within Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, and other Atlassian products, including tool administration and customization.
- Create JIRA projects, queries, and reports in close collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Install, configure, and deploy plugins to enhance JIRA capabilities, create dashboards, configure custom fields, and support JIRA configurations.
- Develop complex JIRA workflows, including project workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
- Manage maintenance, administration, upgrades, and enhancements for JIRA, Confluence, and their integrations with other tools or plugins.
- Administer the Aha! Instance, ensuring alignment with JIRA processes and standards in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Provide technical and usage guidance to R&D teams, including training and documentation, to maximize the benefits of centralized R&D tools.
Candidate Requirements
To succeed as a JIRA Administrator within IFS R&D, a positive and proactive mindset is essential. We encourage you to 'think outside the box' and challenge the status quo in pursuit of continuous improvements.
We are seeking candidates with a relevant academic degree and a proven track record of delivery and execution in a cloud-first environment. You must possess strong technical competence, ideally with a background in software engineering, systems engineering, or a similar field. Four years of hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, and other Atlassian products in an enterprise-grade software environment is required.
This role demands effective work within an internationally distributed, multicultural team. You should be highly self-motivated, proactive, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. A strong drive to achieve tasks and overcome challenges, both individually and with others, is crucial. You must be capable of interacting effectively at all organizational levels.
