Helsingin kaupunki, also known as the City of Helsinki, is seeking dedicated individuals to join its parking enforcement and parking services team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to public safety and traffic flow within the vibrant capital of Finland.

Your Role as a Parking Inspector

As a Parking Inspector, you will perform mobile customer service duties across the Helsinki area. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring compliance with parking and stopping regulations for vehicles.
  • Providing guidance and advice on parking-related matters to the public.
  • Issuing parking violation fees and other penalties for parking infractions, unnecessary idling, and based on vehicle removal laws.

This is a dynamic role where you will typically work with a partner in various shifts, primarily on foot in the city center and utilizing public transport. A good physical condition is essential as daily steps average around 15,000. For suburban areas, company parking enforcement vehicles may be used.

This is a service profession that occasionally involves challenging customer service situations. You will thrive by embracing a responsible and meaningful role in enhancing traffic safety and ensuring smooth traffic flow. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success in this position.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the Parking Inspector position, you must possess:

  • Knowledge of traffic and idling regulations relevant to parking inspection tasks, including a B driving license.
  • A secondary education diploma.

Compensation and Benefits

The task-specific monthly salary is 2,444.58 €. Additionally, a personal performance-based salary component of 0-8% is paid, based on work experience.
