About the Freelance Retail Investor Role
Our partner HelixRecruit is seeking experienced retail investors and active traders who regularly use platforms such as Wealthsimple, Robinhood, Charles Schwab, and more. This position calls for individuals deeply engaged in personal investment management, equity and ETF trading, or crypto markets. You will provide practical insights into independent investor decision-making and contribute to data annotation and model training in an AI lab setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide detailed market analysis and portfolio management insights.
- Annotate and evaluate data to train financial AI models.
- Review and categorize trading content and investor communications.
- Collaborate with research teams to refine AI modeling.
- Test investment tools and investor interfaces, providing structured feedback.
Ideal Background
Candidates should be active or experienced retail investors using platforms such as Robinhood, Wealthsimple, Charles Schwab, Fidelity, eToro, Interactive Brokers, SoFi, or Webull. Hands-on experience in trading stocks, ETFs, crypto, or derivatives is required along with a strong grasp of retail investor psychology, risk assessment, and market behavior. Experience in online investor communities is a bonus.
Compensation & Engagement
This is an hourly contractor role (approximately 20–30 hours per week) with a competitive rate of $105 per hour. Payments are made weekly via Stripe. The role is fully remote and offers flexibility.
