Overview
The Technical Product Manager Data Ad Platforms at Hearst Television drives the modernization of our internal data and reporting platforms. This hands-on role blends product ownership, data architecture understanding, and strong cross-functional leadership. Candidates will move from stakeholder discussions to writing user stories and overseeing delivery, all while thinking strategically about scaling data systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements, user stories, and documentation.
- Manage intake, prioritization, and backlog grooming across workstreams.
- Define KPIs and track product performance within Agile workflows.
- Lead migration from legacy systems to modern cloud-based stacks.
- Partner with data engineering to deliver scalable data models, pipelines, and APIs.
- Maintain high standards for data governance, documentation, and access control.
- Bridge technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with workflows.
- Monitor tool adoption and performance to inform roadmap priorities.
- Stay updated on BI, ad tech, and data infrastructure trends.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years in product management or related data product roles.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, APIs, and data modeling concepts.
- Technical proficiency in cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks.
- Experience with BI/reporting tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience in Agile development environments.

- Experience in ad tech, martech, or media environments.
- Knowledge of advertising revenue workflows and order management systems.
- Experience migrating from legacy platforms to modern data stacks.
