Position Overview
The Pre-K Before and After School Program Supervisor role is based at Beekman Elementary School in Poughquag, NY. This part-time, non-exempt position covers morning (7:00 - 9:00 am) and afternoon (2:00 - 6:00 pm) shifts. The role involves ensuring compliance with OCFS guidelines, implementing engaging activities based on the Healthy Kids Way Curriculum, supervising homework, maintaining a safe environment, and assisting the Site Director with operational tasks.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with OCFS guidelines and Healthy Kids policies.
- Deliver hands-on activities covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support.
- Create a safe, healthy, and fun environment for children.
- Assist with management tasks such as attendance, registration, and staffing.
- Maintain communication with parents via the Playground App.
- Collaborate with the Site Director to address daily challenges.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Child Development, certificate, Bachelor's, or equivalent.
- Child Development Associate Credential or relevant preschool credential with experience.
- Alternatively, 9 Credits in Early Childhood or related field with experience.
Additional Requirements
The candidate must be medically cleared, physically capable (able to lift up to 50 lbs.), and exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills. Professionalism, reliability, and punctuality are essential.
