Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Extended Day Program Director for the 2025-2026 school year at Manchester Elementary School in Manchester Center, VT. In this part-time, non-exempt role, you will lead and manage our After School Program operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with state guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and host school rules.
- Lead engaging, hands-on activities covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework completion.
- Manage attendance, registration, and staffing tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain open communication with parents via the Playground App.
- Collaborate with direct reports to address daily challenges and maintain program quality.
Requirements & Qualifications
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and possess a BA, BS, or Associates degree, plus one of the following: direct work experience with school age children (at least ten months); Vermont On-the-Job Training certificate; Vermont Afterschool Professional Credential; Vermont Program Director Credential; Vermont Teacher Licensure; or a Master’s Degree in a youth-related field.
You should be medically fit, warm, friendly, reliable, and able to engage in physical activity (including lifting up to 50 lbs.).
