Position Details
This part-time, non-exempt role of Extended Day Program Assistant involves facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, ensuring a safe and engaging environment, assisting with homework, and maintaining open communication with parents via the Playground App. Certain roles may also include management responsibilities like attendance tracking, registration, and staffing.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate fitness, STEAM, academic, arts, and homework activities.
- Create a safe, healthy, and fun environment for children.
- Engage with parents using the Playground App.
- Follow state guidelines and Healthy Kids policies.
- Maintain attendance, registration, and staffing if required.
Qualifications
- 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with children under 13 is a plus.
- Medically fit and free from communicable diseases.
- Warm, friendly, and professional with excellent people skills.
- Ability to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
