Position Overview

The Before and After School Program Supervisor for Van Schaik Elementary School in Cahoes, NY is a part-time role where you will lead activities, manage classroom and administrative tasks, and serve as a role model for children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute hands-on curriculum activities including fitness, STEAM, arts, and academics.
  • Create a safe, engaging environment for children.
  • Assist the Site Director with management functions such as attendance, registration, and staffing.
  • Communicate regularly with parents using the Playground App.
  • Follow OCFS guidelines, company policies, and host school rules.
  • Collaborate with the Director to strategize and solve issues.

Qualifications

Applicants should meet one of the following educational and experience criteria:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) with 2 years of experience working with children under 13.
  • School-age Child Care Credential with 1 year of experience for children under 13.
  • Associate’s degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field.

Must be medically fit, free of communicable diseases (including TB), friendly, punctual, and physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
