Program Overview
The Before and After School Program team for the 2025-2026 school year supports activities at Brinckerhoff, Myers Corners, Sheafe Road, and Vassar Elementary Schools in the Wappingers Central School District. Positions include Substitutes, Assistants, Group Leaders, Supervisors, and Directors with part-time, non-exempt status.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities using the Healthy Kids Curriculum covering fitness, STEAM, academics, art, and homework support.
- Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment while acting as a positive role model.
- Communicate daily with parents and families via the Playground App.
- Observe state guidelines along with Healthy Kids and host school policies.
- For management roles, maintain attendance records, registration, and staffing.
Minimum Qualifications
- 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with children under 13 is a plus but not required.
- Medically fit and free of communicable diseases.
- Warm, friendly, professional, reliable, and punctual.
- Physically capable of bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
