Position Overview

We are hiring for multiple Before and After School Program roles for the 2025-2026 school year at Oakside Elementary in Peekskill, NY. Opportunities include Substitutes, Assistants, Group Leaders, Supervisors, and Directors with responsibilities varying by role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and group activities with homework completion.
  • Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment, acting as a positive role model for children.
  • Communicate daily with parents and family members via the Playground App.
  • Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
  • Some roles include management tasks such as maintaining attendance records, registration, and staffing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with children under 13 is a plus, but not required.
  • Medically fit as confirmed by a doctor, free of communicable diseases.
  • Warm, friendly, and professional with excellent people skills.
  • Capable of physical tasks including bending, stretching and lifting up to 50 lbs.
