Job Details
This position is for our Before and After School Programs for the 2025-2026 school year at Greater Amsterdam School District Elementary Schools in Amsterdam, NY. Multiple part-time roles are available including Substitutes, Assistants, Supervisors, and Directors.
- Hourly pay: $15.50 - $17.00
- Part-time, non-exempt status
- Roles include hands-on activity facilitation, safety and supervision, and parent communication
- Occasional management tasks: attendance, registration, and staffing for certain roles
Responsibilities
The Before and After-School Program team is responsible for:
- Facilitating hands-on activities using the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art and group activities
- Providing a safe, healthy and fun environment, acting as a positive role model
- Communicating daily with parents and family members via the Playground App
- Observing state and school policies along with Healthy Kids guidelines
- Managing attendance records, registration and staffing for some roles
Minimum Qualifications
- Age 18 or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children under 13 is a plus
- Medically fit as certified by a doctor
- Warm, friendly, professional, reliable and punctual
- Able to perform physical tasks (bend, stretch, lift up to 50 lbs.)
