About Healthy Kids Programs

Position Details
We are hiring for the 2025-2026 school year at Preston Veteran's Memorial School in Preston, CT for our Before and/or After School Programs. Positions include Substitutes, Assistants, Supervisors, and Directors. This is a part-time, non-exempt role with pay starting at $16.35 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities using the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic adventures, and arts.
- Create a safe, healthy, and engaging environment for children.
- Communicate with parents using the Playground App to share updates.
- Follow state guidelines, program policies, and host school rules meticulously.
- For management roles: maintain attendance records, registration, and staffing.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent. While one year of experience working with children under 13 is preferred, it is not required. Applicants should be medically fit, energetic, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
