Position Overview

We're seeking a dynamic Before and After School Program Director at Grafflin Elementary School in Chappaqua, NY. In this part-time role, you will drive all aspects of program operations, ensuring high-quality care and engaging activities for children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with OCFS guidelines and Healthy Kids policies.
  • Direct engaging hands-on activities including fitness, STEAM, academics, and arts.
  • Manage attendance, registration, and staffing to maintain smooth operations.
  • Communicate with parents using the Playground App.
  • Collaborate with team and direct report to address daily issues.

Education and Experience Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Associate's degree with plan for bachelor's or NYS administrator credential, plus two years teaching and two years supervising experience.
  • Bachelor's degree with required credits, plus one year teaching and one year supervising experience.
  • New York State children's program administrator credential with one year teaching and one year supervising experience.
  • Child development associate credential with pathway to a bachelor's or administrator credential, plus two years teaching and two years supervising experience.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

You must be medically fit to perform all duties, friendly, and able to lead and motivate a team. The role requires physical activity including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
