Overview of the Position

The Before and After School Program Director for the 2025-2026 school year at Mahopac Falls Academy in Mahopac, NY will facilitate hands-on activities including fitness, STEAM, academic, art and homework assistance, ensuring a safe and fun environment for children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities using the Healthy Kids Curriculum
• Provide a safe and engaging environment as a role model
• Communicate daily with parents via the Playground App
• Observe state and program guidelines
• Manage attendance, registration, and staffing (for some roles)

Requirements

Candidates must have one of the following qualifications:

• An Associate’s degree in a related field plus two years of direct childcare experience with at least one in a supervisory role.
• A New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential with the required experience.
• A School-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent with the required experience.
• Two years of college (18 credits in a related field) and the requisite work experience.

Candidates must also be medically fit, warm, professional, and physically capable of handling duties including lifting up to 50 lbs.
