Position Overview: Before and After School Program Assistant

This part-time role at William E. Cottle Elementary in Eastchester, NY for the 2025-2026 school year involves assisting with hands-on activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment, supporting kids with homework, and maintaining communication with parents via the Playground App.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with curriculum activities covering fitness, STEAM, academics, and arts.
  • Create a safe, healthy, and fun environment for children.
  • Support children with homework tasks.
  • Engage with parents and family members through the Playground App.
  • Follow OCFS guidelines, program policies, and school rules.

Qualifications

  • 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with children under 13 is a plus, but not required.
  • Medically fit and free from communicable diseases.
  • Excellent interpersonal and people skills.
  • Ability to physically handle job duties including lifting up to 50 lbs.
