Position Overview

The After School Program Supervisor position at Townsend Elementary School in Walton, NY is a part-time role operating Monday - Friday from 2:30 - 5:15pm. The role involves direct hands-on activities, guiding children through fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework sessions while ensuring a safe and fun environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement Healthy Kids Curriculum activities including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and group games.
  • Provide a safe, healthy, and engaging environment as a role model.
  • Assist the Site Director with attendance, registration, and staffing tasks.
  • Act as the designated person in charge when the Site Director is absent.
  • Communicate regularly with parents via the Playground App.
  • Ensure compliance with OCFS guidelines and school policies.

Requirements

Applicants must have either a high school diploma with two years of direct experience with children under 13 OR a School-age Child Care Credential and one year of experience OR an Associate’s degree in Child Development or a related field.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is warm, friendly, and energetic, with excellent people skills and the physical ability to participate in children’s activities.
