Position Overview
The After School Program Supervisor at Townsend Elementary School in Walton, NY is a part-time, non-exempt role. Work from 2:45 - 5:15 pm guiding activities, assisting with homework, and ensuring safety in a fun environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct direct hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, arts, homework support).
- Create a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Assist the Site Director with management functions like attendance, registration, and staffing.
- Communicate with parents via the Playground App.
- Follow OCFS guidelines, program policies, and host school rules.
- Regularly meet with the Director to resolve issues and strategize.
Requirements
A high school diploma (or equivalent) plus two years of experience working with children under 13; or a School-age Child Care Credential with one year of experience; or an Associate’s degree in a related field.
Qualifications
- Medically fit with no communicable diseases.
- Warm, friendly, and professional with exemplary people skills.
- Capable of physical tasks (bending, stretching, lifting up to 50 lbs.).
