Position Details

This part-time, non-exempt position is available for various roles including Substitutes, Assistants, Group Leaders, Supervisors, and Directors for the 2025-2026 school year at AJ Smith Elementary School in Union Springs, NY. The pay ranges from $15.50 to $17.00 per hour based on role, qualifications, and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum covering fitness, STEAM, academics, art, and group activities.
  • Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment for children.
  • Communicate daily with parents via the Playground App.
  • Observe state guidelines and school policies while adhering to program standards.
  • For some roles, manage attendance, registration, and staffing duties.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience with children under 13 is valued but not mandatory. Applicants must be medically fit and free of communicable diseases. Excellent people skills, reliability, and physical stamina (lifting up to 50 lbs) are essential.
