Job Overview: After School Program Staff
This part-time, non-exempt position is for various roles including Substitutes, Assistants, Group Leaders, Supervisors, and Directors at Grimshaw Elementary School in LaFayette, NY for the 2025-2026 school year.
Main Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, group activities, and homework completion).
- Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children.
- Communicate daily with parents using the Playground App.
- Observe state guidelines and program policies.
- For some roles, manage attendance records, registration, and staffing.
Minimum Qualifications
- 18+ years old with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with children under 13 is a plus, but passion and potential are valued.
- Medically fit and free of communicable diseases.
- Strong people skills and reliability are essential.
- Ability to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.).
