Job Overview
The After School Program Director will lead our program at Haldane Elementary School in Cold Spring, NY. This part-time, non-exempt role operates from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and pays $17.00 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and host school rules.
- Deliver engaging activities in fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support.
- Manage attendance, registrations, and staffing requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with parents via the Playground App.
- Collaborate with direct reports to address any daily issues.
Qualifications
Candidates must have one of the following: • Two years of relevant college coursework and two years of experience (with at least one year in a supervisory capacity), OR • A New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential plus experience, OR • A School-Age Child Care Credential or another recognized credential plus experience, OR • An Associate’s degree in a related field plus experience.
Additional Requirements
Candidates must be medically fit, warm, friendly, and physically able to perform job duties (including lifting up to 50 lbs.).
