Position Details

Position: After School Program Assistant (Substitutes and Assistants)

Status: Part-time, non-exempt

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:15 - 5:00 pm

Pay Rate: $14.65 - $20.00 per hour

Location: Granite Street School, Millinocket, ME

Role Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on activities using the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and group activities.
  • Ensure a safe, healthy, and fun environment while serving as a positive role model.
  • Communicate daily with parents via the Playground App.
  • Observe state guidelines, program policies, and host school policies.
  • For certain positions, manage attendance, registration, and staffing functions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children under 13 is preferred but not required.
  • Medically fit to perform job duties and free of communicable diseases.
  • Possess warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
