Role Overview: Extended Day Program Director

This part-time role at Currier Memorial School in Danby, VT is focused on leading operations for the After School Program for the 2025-2026 school year. The position runs from 2:45 - 5:30 pm and pays between $18.00 - $20.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with state guidelines and Healthy Kids policies.
  • Lead engaging, hands-on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework assistance.
  • Manage essential operational tasks including attendance, registration, and staffing.
  • Communicate effectively with parents via the Playground App.
  • Collaborate with team members and direct reports for smooth daily operations.

Requirements

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age with a BA, BS, or Associates degree and have one of the following credentials or experience: direct work with school age children for at least ten months, Vermont On-the-Job Training certificate, Vermont Afterschool Professional Credential, Vermont Program Director Credential, Vermont Teacher Licensure, or a Master’s Degree in a youth-related field.

  • Capable of physical tasks such as bending, stretching, lifting up to 50 lbs.
