Job Overview - Before and After School Program Staff

This part-time, non-exempt role supports various positions including Substitutes, Assistants, Supervisors, and Directors for the 2025-2026 school year at Greater Amsterdam School District Elementary Schools in Amsterdam, NY.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework completion.
  • Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment for children.
  • Communicate daily with parents and family members via the Playground App.
  • Observe state guidelines, program policies, and school regulations.
  • For certain positions, manage attendance records, registration, and staffing.

Requirements

You must be 18 or older, hold a High School Diploma or equivalent, and be medically fit to perform physical duties. Experience with children under 13 is a plus but not required. A warm, friendly, and professional attitude is essential.
