About Healthy Kids Programs

Position Overview

The Before and After School Program Staff role for the 2025-2026 school year is available at Gowanda Elementary School, Gowanda, NY. Multiple positions are open including Substitutes, Assistants, Group Leaders, Supervisors, and Directors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on activities using the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, etc.).
  • Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment as a role model.
  • Communicate daily with parents via the Playground App.
  • Observe state guidelines and program policies.
  • For management roles: maintain attendance, registration, and staffing records.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children under 13 is a plus.
  • Medically fit and free from any communicable diseases.
  • Warm, friendly, reliable, and professional with excellent people skills.
  • Physically capable of bending, stretching, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and more.
