Position Overview

This role is for the Before and After School Program at Hyde Park Elementary School in Hyde Park, NY for the 2025-2026 school year. Positions available include Substitutes, Assistants, Group Leaders, Supervisors, and Directors. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with pay ranging from $15.50 to $17.00 per hour based on role and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework completion.
  • Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment, and serve as a positive role model.
  • Communicate daily with parents and family members via the Playground App.
  • Observe state guidelines along with Healthy Kids Program and host school policies.
  • For management roles: maintain accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing details.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with children under 13 is a plus but not required.
  • Medically fit and free of communicable diseases.
  • Must be warm, friendly, professional, reliable, and physically capable (able to lift up to 50 lbs.).
