Position Overview - Before and After School Program Staff

This role is part-time and non-exempt for the 2025-2026 school year in Middletown, NY across Maple Hill, Presidential Park, and William Carter Elementary Schools. Positions include Substitutes, Assistants, Group Leaders, Supervisors, and Directors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on activities using the Healthy Kids Curriculum covering fitness, STEAM, academics, art, and homework assistance.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and fun environment while acting as a positive role model.
  • Communicate daily with parents through the Playground App.
  • Follow state guidelines, program policies, and host school rules.
  • For management roles, handle attendance, registration, and staffing tasks.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

  • 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with children under 13 is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Medically fit and free of communicable diseases.
  • Warm, friendly, and professional with strong people skills.
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, and lift up to 50 lbs.
