Position Overview

For the 2025-2026 school year at East Coldenham Elementary School in Newburgh, NY, we are hiring multiple positions as substitutes, assistants, group leaders, supervisors, and directors. This part-time, non-exempt role involves facilitating hands-on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum with emphasis on fitness, STEAM, academics, art, and homework completion. You will also ensure a safe, healthy, and fun environment, act as a positive role model, and communicate daily with families via the Playground App.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on activities using the Healthy Kids Curriculum.
  • Ensure a safe and engaging environment for children.
  • Communicate daily with parents via the Playground App.
  • Observe state guidelines and program policies.
  • For management roles: handle attendance, registration, and staffing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with children under 13 preferred but not mandatory.
  • Medically fit to perform job duties.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and reliability.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
