Position Overview
We're seeking a dynamic Before and After School Program Director at Grafflin Elementary School in Chappaqua, NY. In this part-time role, you will drive all aspects of program operations, ensuring high-quality care and engaging activities for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with OCFS guidelines and Healthy Kids policies.
- Direct engaging hands-on activities including fitness, STEAM, academics, and arts.
- Manage attendance, registration, and staffing to maintain smooth operations.
- Communicate with parents using the Playground App.
- Collaborate with team and direct report to address daily issues.
Education and Experience Requirements
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- Associate's degree with plan for bachelor's or NYS administrator credential, plus two years teaching and two years supervising experience.
- Bachelor's degree with required credits, plus one year teaching and one year supervising experience.
- New York State children's program administrator credential with one year teaching and one year supervising experience.
- Child development associate credential with pathway to a bachelor's or administrator credential, plus two years teaching and two years supervising experience.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
You must be medically fit to perform all duties, friendly, and able to lead and motivate a team. The role requires physical activity including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
