Job Overview

The Before and After School Program Director will lead the Healthy Kids Program site at Grafflin Elementary School in Chappaqua, NY. You will guide compliance with OCFS guidelines, deliver engaging curriculum-based activities, manage essential operational tasks, and ensure smooth communication between staff and parents.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure program and staff comply with OCFS guidelines and Healthy Kids policies.
• Lead engaging, hands-on activities in fitness, STEAM, academics, and arts.
• Manage attendance, registration records, and staffing levels.
• Maintain clear communication with parents via the Playground App.
• Collaborate closely with direct reports to address daily operations.

Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following educational and experience criteria:

• An associate's degree with a plan for a bachelor's or NYS administrator credential, plus two years teaching and two years supervisory experience.
• A bachelor's degree with relevant credits, one year teaching and one year supervisory experience.
• A NYS children's program administrator credential with appropriate experience.
• A child development associate credential with a plan for further credentials, plus required teaching and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

Must be medically fit, warm, friendly, professional, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. Excellent people skills and commitment to quality childcare are essential.
