Overview
Healthy Kids Programs is one of the fastest-growing childcare providers, offering Early Learning, Before and After School, and Summer Camp Programs. Join an award-winning community committed to accessible and affordable childcare. This role is based at Wiliam E. Cottle Elementary School in Eastchester, NY.
Key Responsibilities
As the Before and After School Program Director and Lead Teacher, you will:
- Ensure compliance with OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and host school rules.
- Lead engaging hands-on activities including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts and homework support.
- Manage attendance, registration records, and staffing levels.
- Maintain open communication with parents via the Playground App.
- Collaborate with direct reports to address daily challenges.
Requirements
Qualifications vary depending on whether you are applying as a director or lead teacher. Requirements include:
- Relevant college credits or credentials in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, or a related field.
- Two years of experience working with children (with at least one year in a supervisory role for director role).
- Possession of appropriate credentials such as the New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential, School-Age Child Care Credential, or Child Development Associate Credential.
Physical and Personal Requirements
You must be medically fit, free of communicable diseases including TB, and capable of physical tasks up to 50 lbs. Additionally, strong people skills are essential for interacting with children, parents, and team members.
