Position Overview

The After School Program Director at Haldane Elementary School in Cold Spring, NY is responsible for leading the operations of the Healthy Kids Program Site. This role involves managing compliance, directing engaging activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum, maintaining communication with parents via the Brightwheel App, and overseeing vital administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and host school rules.
• Lead hands-on activities covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support.
• Maintain accurate attendance and registration records.
• Manage staffing levels and daily operations.
• Communicate regularly with parents and team members.

Education and Experience

Candidates must have either:

• Two years of college coursework in related fields and two years of child-focused experience with one year in a supervisory role, OR
• A New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential with experience, OR
• A School-Age Child Care Credential or similar, OR
• An Associate’s degree in a relevant field with appropriate experience.

• Physically and medically fit to perform job duties.
• Warm, friendly, and upbeat with exceptional people skills.
• Capable of handling physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs.
