Job Overview

The After School Program Director at Haldane Elementary School in Cold Spring, NY is responsible for the entire operation of the Healthy Kids Program Site. You will ensure compliance, deliver engaging curriculum-based activities, manage program logistics, and maintain clear communication with parents and team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure staff and program compliance with OCFS guidelines and policies.
  • Lead engaging hands-on activities covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support.
  • Manage attendance, registration records, and staffing levels.
  • Communicate regularly with parents via the Playground App and with your direct report.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates must have one of the following: - Two years of college (18 credits in relevant fields) plus two years of direct childcare experience (including one year supervisory), or - A New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential, or a School-Age Child Care Credential, or an Associate’s degree in a relevant field with requisite experience.

Additional Requirements

Applicants must be medically fit, possess excellent people skills, and be physically capable of handling job duties (e.g., lifting up to 50 lbs.).

Schedule and Compensation

This is a part-time, non-exempt role with a schedule from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm and a pay rate of $17.00 per hour.
