Position Overview

The After School Program Director will lead the operation at Manchester Elementary School in Manchester Center, VT for the 2025-2026 school year. This part-time role runs from 2:45 to 5:30 pm and pays between $18.00 and $20.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guiding Compliance: Ensure adherence to state guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and host school rules.
  • Bringing the Fun: Direct engaging, hands-on activities including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework assistance.
  • Managing Operations: Maintain accurate attendance, registration records, and proper staffing levels.
  • Communication: Keep parents informed via the Playground App and update your direct report on daily events.

Requirements & Qualifications

Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a BA, BS, or Associate degree. Experience or certification in working with school-aged children is required (e.g., Vermont On-the-Job Training certificate, Afterschool Professional Credential, Program Director Credential, Teacher Licensure, or a Master’s Degree in a youth-related field). Physical ability to manage energetic activities is also necessary.
