About The Role

Healthscope is seeking a motivated and passionate Ward Clerk or Administrator to step into a rewarding full-time Administration Officer role within its Outpatients Team. This position is ideal for experienced, patient-care-focused individuals seeking work-life balance and a dynamic career in Healthcare. Key Responsibilities of an Administration Officer Include

  • Providing patient-centred customer service, including greeting all customers and handling enquiries with a friendly, professional manner.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely patient information, data collection, referrals, billing, and processing of medical records.
  • Undertaking essential administration duties, such as checking patients in/out, booking patient appointments, and directing patient and stakeholder enquiries.
  • Utilizing medical terminology and software systems effectively.
  • Liaising with other areas of the hospital to ensure seamless operations.
  • Managing patient electronic records while strictly ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of patient information.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in an acute patient-focused healthcare facility or hospital environment.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and time management skills, with the ability to thrive in multidisciplinary work environments.
  • Advanced computer literacy and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • A proven track record of providing excellent service and customer experience.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
