Position Summary

The Assistant Controller oversees accounting operations to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial results. In this role you will optimize accounting strategies, lead cross-functional teams, maintain internal controls, and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate accounting operations including AP/AR and revenue cycle management.
  • Lead internal and external audit processes with auditors and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on GAAP standards and ensure policy compliance.
  • Manage consolidation of financial data for accurate business results.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Assist with corporate insurance and treasury management strategies.
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff to build a high-performance team.
  • Advise on financial trends, risks, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
  • 8 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Healthcare accounting background preferred.
  • Proven audit management and understanding of finance law and GAAP.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Analytical, organized with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to strategically interpret data and communicate effectively.

Travel

Limited travel scheduled as needed by business requirements.
