Job Description
Pharmacist
The Pharmacist oversees operations of the Pharmacy department, relying on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
Job Summary
Responsible for implementing and adhering to the HealthDirect Standard of Practice, ensuring the highest quality healthcare service for customers. This includes dispensing prescriptions accurately, performing quality assurance, reporting dispensing incidents promptly, and complying with all State and Federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the initial submission, resubmission, and collection of all third-party claims.
- Manage and balance pharmacy inventory for maximum turns while maintaining stock levels.
- Ensure prescription files and other records are maintained according to state and federal guidelines.
- Foster outstanding customer service and ensure all loss prevention policies are followed.
- Maintain a clean and professional pharmacy environment.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Stay updated on developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields.
- Maintain patient information confidentiality.
- Facilitate communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
- Participate in on-call schedules as applicable.
- Collaborate with the Facility Manager on hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions for pharmacy staff.
- Perform MTM, IMMR, short stay reviews, delivery at discharge, and other clinical functions.
- Assist in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within budget.
- Interface with auditors and outside agencies as needed.
- Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy
Job Requirements
- Possess and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy.
- Ability to stand/walk throughout the majority of the shift.
Job Skills Required
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Basic keyboarding skills.
Compensation
$130,000-140,000.00 per year
The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience, and education.
