About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Data Governance and Privacy, the Data Governance Specialist will shape a newly established role and build the future of data and AI governance. This role focuses on translating strategic vision into actionable outcomes, advising stakeholders, uplifting capability, and embedding governance pathways to ensure safe, responsible, and effective use of data and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate strategic vision into actionable outcomes.
- Advise on data and AI governance challenges.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration and shared ownership.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in information management, law, data science, technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of data governance experience.
- Experience with data/AI governance in complex organizations.
- Familiarity with data protection laws, ethical AI, and data management standards.
- Experience in developing or implementing governance frameworks, policies, or tools.
