Economist General Manager at Health Service Executive
This role is for an Economist General Manager within the Health Service Executive, specifically in the office of the Assistant National Director - Capital, Capital & Estates. This is a crucial position involving economic analysis and strategic input for significant capital projects within Ireland's public health sector.
The Health Service Executive is seeking to fill one permanent whole-time vacancy. A panel may also be formed from this campaign to fill future permanent and specified purpose vacancies, both full-time and part-time.
Key Responsibilities (Inferred)
- Provide expert economic analysis and advice on capital investment programs and projects within Health Service Executive.
- Develop and implement economic models and tools for resource allocation, cost-benefit analysis, and financial planning for estates.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and policy development relating to healthcare infrastructure and capital expenditure.
- Assess and mitigate economic risks associated with large-scale projects, ensuring sustainable and efficient use of public funds.
- Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure economic insights inform decision-making across the Capital & Estates division.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management and governmental bodies on economic trends and project viability.
Location and Work Arrangement
The primary location for this position is Dublin, Ireland, with initial assignment to the office of the Assistant National Director - Capital, Capital & Estates. The offices are currently located at Sir Patrick Duns, Lower Grand Canal St., Dublin 2, and Swords Business Campus, Balheary Road, Swords, Co Dublin. The successful candidate will be located at one of these offices, subject to agreement.
