The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as subject matter expert for Leaders and Team Members as it relates to the day-to-day Human Resources (HR) operations within the organization. The HRBP acts with utmost discretion when supporting in the areas of employee relations, workplace investigations, policy clarification, performance management, and education on legislative changes and best practices. The HRBP provides guidance and support to internal customers regarding HR policies and procedures and may need to engage with external HR teams as needed. The HRBP is responsible for coordinating and implementing the execution of HR initiatives and acts as a steward of our Cultural Beliefs in creating and maintaining an Inspiring Workplace. All Healogics employees must perform their job responsibilities according to all Healogics policies, Hospital policies, as well as to accrediting organizations, federal and state regulation, and to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines, as applicable. - Independently responds to employee relations concerns and/or complaints with discretion and confidentiality. When necessary, this includes conducting effective, confidential investigations, recommending People-First solutions and partnering with leaders and internal counsel as appropriate.
- Educates and clarifies company and HR policies and procedures to team members and leaders, ensuring active, consistent compliance.
- Provides expert guidance and education to leaders on performance-based accountability, corrective action, and opportunities for remedial action or development.
- Investigates team member disputes by interviewing all parties involved, researching documentation and obtaining relevant information from all parties before escalating as necessary and providing actionable solutions to ensure team member and patient safety, and to uphold Healogics’ Cultural Beliefs and Professional Standards.
- Partners with HR Director and Team Lead to implement People-First solutions through analyzing performance and retention data.
- Provides appropriate counseling to team members as well as consultative services to leaders regarding organizational, cultural and other changes that may impact team members.
- Facilitates the performance management and performance review process, ensuring bias-free assessments and consistent accountability.
- Actively participates in HR initiatives, weekly team meetings both virtually and in person at the Home Office in Jacksonville, FL. Actively educates in Essentials courses, HR Education Sessions, and other meetings on various HR-related topics; partners with Learning and Development, Compliance, and other teams to ensure appropriate completion of annual required trainings.
- Recommends new approaches and procedures to continuously improve the department and service.
- Stays current on employment law and labor relations’ changes across applicable states/territories.
- Utilizes company and external websites to include: HUB, Workday, Ethics Point, Case Builder, FMLA Source, and any others as required.
- Actively reviews and responds to inquiries to the HR Inbox as scheduled and maintains a 24-hour response time to direct communications from team members, leaders, including those within the HR Support team.
- Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Required Education, Experience And Credentials
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of HR generalist or employee relations experience, including responsibility for employee relations (including but not limited to employment law, wage & hour, FMLA/ADA regulations and compliance, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience supporting employees in California.

- Ability to travel less than 5%.
Compensation
The starting compensation for the role will be at $70,000-$76,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications: education, experience, geography as well as operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.Key skills/competency
