About the Role: Head of Motor Operations at HDI Group

As the Head of Motor Operations for the Südost region at HDI Group, you will be instrumental in leading and coordinating operational tasks across multiple key locations. This role demands strong leadership, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of the industrial insurance sector, specifically motor insurance. You will drive process optimization, ensure quality standards, and foster a collaborative environment to achieve business objectives.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and manage employees at Leipzig, Munich, and Nuremberg locations, both technically and disciplinarily.
• Plan and coordinate operational tasks in collaboration with other Operations leaders and adjacent functions (Underwriting, Sales, Claims).
• Ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards, operating, and risk guidelines.
• Drive the development and control of process harmonization, optimization, and automation based on segment KPIs.
• Organize regional events and communicate technical topics effectively within the team.
• Actively participate and contribute to expert and function-relevant meetings.

Your Profile

• Successfully completed degree with a focus on insurance or a comparable qualification.
• Extensive insurance technical knowledge and many years of experience in processing industrial insurance contracts, preferably in the motor segment.
• Strong analytical and conceptual abilities.
• High affinity for IT and digitalization topics.
• Assertiveness and persuasiveness in collaborating with employees.
• Precise and structured communication skills.
• Team-oriented, independent, and solution-oriented working style.
• Very good spoken and written German and English language skills.
• Good knowledge of MS-Office package, especially Excel.
• Willingness to travel for business.
