Job Overview

The Desktop Support Engineer at HCLTech will perform a support role for desktop related issues, equipment configuration, backup maintenance, and software installation/de-installation. You will provide answers to clients by identifying problems, researching answers, and guiding the client through corrective steps.

Daily Activities

  • Support international clients with hardware, software, and network issues via telephone.
  • Route problems to internal I.M. support staff.
  • Coordinate and manage relationships with vendors and support staff for issue resolution.
  • Administer user access and exit controls.
  • Document and manage problems using the Call Tracking System.
  • Utilize knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, Azure VNET, and Networks.
  • Assist in managing business applications on Azure VD/Citrix.
  • Apply ITIL best practices for Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Troubleshoot issues with Citrix, Windows OS, Office applications, and other software.
  • Diagnose complex Windows desktop, network, and security issues.
  • Use ServiceNow for incident management and document resolutions.
  • Apply knowledge in GPO, device drivers, profiles, DHCP, and DNS issues.
