We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Medical Assistant who is passionate about patient care. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with no nights, on-call, weekends, or holidays.
What You Will Do
- Schedule and cancel patient appointments.
- Check patients in and out.
- Enter charges and payments.
- Answer telephones.
- Verify patient insurance and demographics.
- Collect co-payments, coinsurance, and personal balances.
- Perform administrative duties and assist nursing staff.
- May collect patient specimens.
- Take patient histories and vital signs.
- Prepare and maintain exam and treatment rooms, including sterilization.
- Administer injections, and apply casts, splints, and dressings as applicable.
- Assist physicians with minor surgeries and physicals.
- Adhere to all HCA Healthcare policies, Code of Conduct, and Mission/Value Statement.
- For Patient-Centered Medical Home practices: Coordinate patient care continuity, participate in data collection, and assist with health outcomes reporting.
Qualifications You Will Need
- One year of Medical Assisting or direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials).
- Alternatively, recent graduates (within 12 months) must obtain certification within 60 days of employment.
- Candidates with one year of experience but no certification must obtain it within one year of hire.
