About the role
Network and Cloud Engineer
Hazen Technologies Inc. is seeking a skilled Network and Cloud Engineer to join our team in Lahore. This role is crucial for the advanced management, optimization, and security of our clients' diverse technology stacks. You will serve as the technical escalation point, manage project deployments, and act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate is adaptable to a fast-paced environment and possesses deep, hands-on experience with modern MSP platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Infrastructure Management:
- Act as the primary technical expert for a portfolio of client environments.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
- Proactively monitor and maintain client systems for optimal performance and security.
- Design and implement technology solutions and improvements.
Core Technology Expertise:
- Syncro RMM/PSA: Master platform administration, scripting, automation, workflow creation, and efficient service delivery via PSA.
- SentinelOne: Advanced configuration, threat hunting, policy management, incident investigation, and remediation.
- Email Security (Check Point/Hornetsecurity or similar): Configure policies (anti-spam, anti-malware, DLP), manage quarantines, analyze threats, and generate reports.
- Microsoft 365 Ecosystem: Comprehensive tenant administration including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure AD/Entra ID.
- Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager): Deploy, configure, and manage policies for Windows, macOS, and mobile devices (autopilot, compliance, app deployment). Manage Defender for Endpoint integration.
- Bitdefender GravityZone (or similar): Manage security suite, configure policies, and respond to alerts.
- Endpoint Encryption: Manage full-disk encryption (Microsoft BitLocker), including policy deployment via Intune, recovery key escrow, troubleshooting, and compliance.
Security & Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security best practices across managed environments.
- Lead security incident responses and participate in regular security reviews.
- Ensure client configurations meet compliance requirements.
Client & Team Collaboration:
- Act as a technical consultant for clients during Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
- Mentor and provide escalation support to Tier 1 & 2 engineers.
- Document solutions and processes meticulously in the IT Glue/Knowledge Base.
Required Skills & Experience (Non-Negotiable):
- 0-5 years of hands-on experience in an MSP or similar IT services environment.
- Proven, recent expertise in administering and troubleshooting: Syncro RMM/PSA, SentinelOne EDR, an Email Security Gateway (preferably Check Point, Proofpoint, Mimecast, Barracuda), the Microsoft 365 stack (including Intune and Defender), and a business-grade AV/EDR platform like Bitdefender GravityZone.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Firewalls).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues to non-technical clients.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a commitment to exceptional customer service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, CompTIA Security+, SentinelOne SOC Specialist).
- Experience with additional MSP tools (e.g., Datto BCDR, IT Glue, Hudu, ConnectWise, Autotask).
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation.
