Working with a global leader in mission-critical defense technology and digital transformation, Haystack is seeking a high-caliber Technical Writer to drive the documentation strategy for a massive, nationally significant Air Force integration program that keeps our country safe. This role goes beyond simple manual writing; you will be the voice of clarity for complex network services, working alongside cyber security experts and system architects to deliver high-stakes technical packages. The Role

• Craft and refine high-level technical documentation including Design Packages, Requirements Traceability Matrixes (RTM), and complex Technical Specifications.
• Lead the development of CDRLs (Contract Data Requirements Lists) and technical data packages for the TACMOR network services program.
• Transform raw engineering data into professional training materials and instructional guides based on OEM manuals.
• Partner with multi-disciplined engineering teams to conduct peer reviews, trend analysis, and process improvement to optimize document delivery cycles.
• Support Program Management by generating strategic briefings, progress timelines, and program metric reports for senior stakeholders.

What You'll Need

• An active DoD Secret Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship (Non-negotiable).
• 4+ years of professional technical writing experience (or 2+ years with a Master’s degree) in a defense or high-tech environment.
• Deep familiarity with Air Force "Tongue and Quill" standards and DoD acquisition documentation processes.
• Proven expertise in writing Technical Orders (TOs) and Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs).
• Exceptional command of grammar, punctuation, and document version control with the ability to simplify high-complexity system architectures.
