Key Responsibilities

• Proactively maintain and monitor distributed infrastructure and data pipelines, utilizing technologies like Spark and Airflow.
• Drive the strategic evolution of the data platform towards modern, scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Monitor and thoroughly analyze runtime behavior, resource usage, and error rates across all data science pipelines.
• Actively participate in on-call rotations, ensuring platform reliability and swift incident response.
• Implement and enforce robust logging and monitoring strategies to achieve comprehensive pipeline transparency.
• Manage the data science development environment, encompassing software and tool configuration to support the team effectively.

What You'll Bring

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, systems engineering, or platform operations.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python and Bash, with a keen focus on developing scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Demonstrated experience with container orchestration platforms, specifically Kubernetes, and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Linux system administration skills are essential.
• A solid understanding of big data infrastructure, networking principles, and distributed systems architecture.
• Fluency in English and at least B1+ conversational German is required for effective communication.
