Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on building, automating, and securing a modern, Azure-based big data platform. This role involves significant impact on large-scale data challenges and cutting-edge cloud technologies.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will:
- Design, build, and operate CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Artefacts, Environments).
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform for Azure resource provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Provision and manage Azure Databricks (Workspaces, Cluster Policies, Jobs/Workflows, Libraries, Secrets) through automation.
- Standardize deployments across various environments (Dev/Test/Prod) including releases, checks, and controlled rollouts.
- Develop and enhance monitoring and alerting solutions (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
- Implement security best practices (Azure AD, RBAC, Key Vault/Secrets, network concepts) and troubleshoot complex cloud issues.
What You'll Need
- Proven experience with Azure (Portal, resource model, subscriptions/resource groups).
- Strong expertise in Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Service Connections, Variable Groups, Environments).
- Demonstrable experience with Terraform in production environments, including modular approaches and state management.
- Ability to conduct technical discussions clearly and precisely in German (Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse).
- A structured and analytical approach to problem-solving, with a passion for optimizing complex systems.
