The Role
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Implement new features, enhancements, and defect fixes within distributed backend applications.
- Build and maintain automated unit and integration tests.
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
- Investigate and troubleshoot production issues involving application behavior and data processing.
- Contribute to the ongoing reliability, scalability, and performance of backend services.
- 5+ years of professional backend software development experience using Java.
- Strong experience developing applications with the Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
- Experience building and supporting distributed or event-driven applications, including messaging or event-streaming technologies such as Kafka.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Strong understanding of automated testing, including unit and integration testing (e.g., JUnit).
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL, including supporting schema changes or data migrations.
