About the Role
Hays Technology is seeking a Web Analytics Technical Analyst to join the Digital Marketing team of a leading pharmaceutical company. This role involves implementing and maintaining robust web analytics tracking solutions, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with privacy regulations, and transforming data into actionable insights. You will collaborate closely with developers, marketers, SEO specialists, product owners, and legal/compliance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain web analytics tracking solutions using Adobe Analytics across digital platforms.
- Manage tracking and snippet implementations via tag management and server-side solutions (e.g., MetaRouter).
- Ensure compliance with privacy and data protection regulations through consent framework management.
- Translate business requirements into clear tracking specifications and data layer requirements.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams for implementation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Perform quality assurance, debugging, and validation of analytics data.
- Analyze website performance, user behavior, and conversion data to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
- Create dashboards and reports using visualization tools (Power BI, Looker Studio) to communicate insights.
- Conduct technical audits related to tracking, tagging, and data quality.
- Provide analytics consultancy and recommendations throughout the website lifecycle.
- Document tracking setups, processes, and best practices.
- Stay updated with analytics, privacy, and digital measurement best practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Web Analytics, Digital Analytics, or a similar technical analyst role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Adobe Analytics (implementation, validation, reporting).
- Experience with tag management (pixel implementation) and server-side tracking solutions (e.g., MetaRouter, Adobe Launch).
- Solid knowledge of consent management platforms (especially OneTrust) and privacy-driven tracking.
- Ability to work with data layers, URLs, parameters, and tracking specifications.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (Power BI, Looker Studio).
- Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, cookies, APIs).
- Experience in paid media campaign tracking and analysis for accurate attribution.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to data quality and detail.
