The Role: Senior Data Engineer at Unnest
MISSIONS
- Deploy a modern end-to-end data stack for clients.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines.
- Model data to make it exploitable (SQL, data warehouse, datamarts).
- Ensure the quality, reliability, and monitoring of data flows.
- Support business teams in understanding and using data.

In Detail
As a Consulting Senior Data Engineer, you will work at the intersection of engineering, modeling, and consulting. Your missions will notably include:
- Technical scoping & architecture: Needs analysis, stack proposal, definition of flows and models.
- Pipeline construction (ETL/ELT): Ingestion, transformation, standardization, optimization.
- SQL Modeling: Construction of datamarts, analytical views, performance optimization.
- Cloud & data warehouse: BigQuery, Snowflake, or equivalent.
- BI implementation or improvement: Making data exploitable for analysts and business users.
- Orchestration & industrialization: dbt, monitoring, Airflow, CI/CD, best practices.
- Supervision & data quality: Tests, alerting, error management.
- Client support: Documentation, training, best practices.
- Monitoring & innovation: Modern data stack, automation, optimization, R&D.

Desired Profile
We are looking for a consultant with a minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in data engineering, capable of managing end-to-end projects and collaborating with diverse teams (analysts, business users, tech…).
Your Strengths:
- Experience with a cloud DWH (BigQuery, Snowflake or equivalent).
- Knowledge of orchestration tools: Airflow, dbt…
- Understanding of data architectures (ELT, data warehouse, datamarts…).
- Experience on a cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- Proficiency in SQL and Python (or equivalent).
- Good organizational skills: knowing how to prioritize, structure work, document, deliver.
Bonus Points:
- Knowledge in BI (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Good practices in CI/CD, Git, data testing.
- Consulting sense: scoping, structuring, pedagogy.
- Knowledge of the marketing / CRM / e-commerce ecosystem.
- Appetite for analytics engineering (dbt).
- Curiosity for data technologies and innovation.
- Team spirit, ability to collaborate with diverse profiles (analysts, product owners, clients).
- Desire to evolve in a dynamic context.
