About the Role

The Senior DevOps Engineer - Electronic Arts will ensure scalability, reliability, and security of the infrastructure and applications. You will streamline the software delivery pipeline using CI/CD while collaborating with development teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Gradle and Git.
  • Manage AWS infrastructure including DynamoDB, Elasticache, and more.
  • Work with Java, Scala, and Java21 where applicable.
  • Collaborate to implement monitoring and alerting solutions (NewRelic, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
  • Implement containerization with Kubernetes and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to infrastructure and performance.
  • Utilize Kafka and Cassandra for data streaming and storage when needed.
  • Continuously improve efficiency, scalability, and security.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Java with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communication skills and familiarity or willingness to learn Scala.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and CI/CD tools (Gradle, Git).
  • Must be a resident of Canada and eligible to work in Canada.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with NewRelic, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Working knowledge of Kafka and Cassandra.
  • Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes.
